The First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev, who is on a visit to the Russian Federation, took part in the next meeting of the Council of Defense Ministers of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states, held in Moscow on November 12.

In accordance with the training plan for 2024 approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the military oath-taking ceremonies for young soldiers were held in the Azerbaijan Army on November 8.

According to the training plan of the current year, the Azerbaijan Army conducted a series of events to mark the 4th anniversary of 8 November - Victory Day.

Under the plan approved by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, 8 November - Victory Day celebrations included marches accompanied by military orchestras organized on the central streets, avenues and squares of Baku, Ganja, Khankendi, Shusha and Lachin.The marches commenced with a solemn tribute to the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for sovereignty of Azerbaijan.

A group of servicemen and vessel of the Azerbaijan Navy, that took part in the AZIREX-2024 joint tactical exercise held in the Iranian sector of the Caspian Sea, have returned to the Motherland.

On the eve of Victory Day, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan conducted a visit to the permanent deployment point of one of its military police units.

The next graduation ceremony of the Underwater attack special force course was held in one of the military units of the Naval Forces.

On November 7, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense, accompanied by a group of military personnel of the Azerbaijan Army, paid a solemn visit to the graves of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs in commemoration of Victory Day.
