According to the training plan of the current year, the Azerbaijan Army conducted a series of events to mark the 4th anniversary of 8 November - Victory Day.
Servicemen paid their reverence at the Alleys of Martyrs, laying flowers on the graves of Heroes, who had given their lives for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan.
The events commenced with commemorating the bright memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by military orchestras was performed.
In the course of these events, speakers highlighted the significance of the historic victory achieved by the Azerbaijan Army during the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the role of the people in gaining the Victory, bravery shown by the Heroes, and the fact that the memory of the Martyrs will never be forgotten.
With the initiative of the servicemen, trees were planted in memory of Martyrs in various regions and landscaping works were carried out.
Within the events, roundtable discussions were held to promote the determination to win and the fighting spirit to the personnel, to instill the factors of loyalty to the Motherland and the state, and extensive conversations were held about the Victory in military operations.
The events also included screenings of documentary films and videos on the Patriotic War, as well as performances of literary and artistic compositions by military orchestras, the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov, the Ganja Garrison Ideological and Cultural Center, and representatives of the local cultural and artistic communities, what aroused great interest of the personnel.
The events were focused on fostering a deeper appreciation of national values and aesthetic sensibilities among the personnel.
Concluding the events, a group of distinguished personnel received honorary certificates and valuable awards in recognition of their service.
