TAHIROV RAMIZ FIRUDIN OGLU

Lieutenant General Tahirov Ramiz Firudin oglu was born in Vladikavkaz city of the Russian Federation on April 16, 1966.
He graduated from the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakchivanski in 1983, from the Kyiv Higher Anti-Aircraft and Rocket Engineering School in 1988, from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan with Honours in 2006 and from the Military Administration Institute of the National Defense University with Honours in 2023.
In 1988-1992, he was serving at the Academy of Air Defense of Land Forces named after Marshal of the Soviet Union A.M.Vasilevsky and in the Military Representation of the USSR Armed Forces.
In 1992-2002, he was serving in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
In 2002-2013, he was taking the position of Deputy Assistant to the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on Military Affairs.
He participated in combat operations for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
He has received numerous awards and medals for commendable fulfillment of duties. He has been awarded with the Medal “For Motherland” by Presidential Decree dated 24.06.2005, the Medal for Distinguished Military Service by Presidential Decree dated 21.06.2007, Order “For service to the Motherland of 3rd Degree” by Presidential Decree dated 24.06.2015, the Medal for Distinguished Military Service by Presidential Decree dated 19.04.2016, the Medal “For Motherland” by Presidential Decree dated 25.06.2018, Jubilee Medal of the “100th anniversary of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (1918-2018)” by Presidential Decree dated 27.05.2019, the “Zafar” Order (Victory) by Presidential Decree dated 09.12.2020, the Medal "For the liberation of Fuzuli" by Presidential Decree dated 24.06.2021, the Medal "For the liberation of Jabrayil" by Presidential Decree dated 24.06.2021, the Jubilee Medal for the "30th anniversary of the body ensuring the security of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (1993-2023)"by Presidential Decree dated 23.08.2023 and the "Karabakh" Order by Presidential Decree dated 07.11.2023.
From 14.05.2014, he has been appointed as Deputy Minister of Defense – Commander of the Air Force by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
He is married and has two children.
