The Ministry of Defense and the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan signed a joint action plan with the aim of strengthening military discipline and preventing legal violations in the Azerbaijan Army during 2026.

In accordance with the 2026 training plan, the tactical exercise was conducted in one of the military units.

Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Namig Islamzade, together with the Deputy Prosecutor General of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Justice Major General Bahruz Ahmadov, held meeting with personnel at military units subordinate to the Air Force.

On January 7, the newly appointed military attaché of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Colonel Salauat Khayrushev was introduced to the Azerbaijan Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

The main planning conference of “Shield of Peace 2026” exercise to be held with the participation of a group of servicemen from the Azerbaijan Army and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Forces was held in Baku on December 25.

Pursuant to the training plan for 2025, a graduation ceremony of the Aircraft Technician Specialty Training Course was held in the Training and Educational Center of the Air Force.

Within the military cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Italy, relations between the personnel of the Naval Forces of both countries in the field of military education are successfully continued.
