The servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army are participating in the multinational military exercise Agile Spirit 2023 held in Tbilisi, Georgia.

According to the order of the Minister of Defense, the representatives of the Office for Women and Families of Servicemen of the Main Department for Personnel of the Ministry of Defense held meetings aimed at educating military personnel and civilian employees, improving their moral and psychological readiness, and promoting national and moral values.

On August 23, at 23:30, Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of Istisu settlement using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar region.The Azerbaijan Army Units took adequate retaliatory measures.

The Azerbaijan Army continues holding events aimed at instilling national-spiritual values and a sense of patriotism in the personnel of the Azerbaijan Army according to the instructions of the Minister of Defense.

On August 23, at about 02:10, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of Yukhari Shorzha settlement of the Basarkechar region using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of Zaylik settlement of the Kalbajar region.The Azerbaijan Army Units took retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction.

On August 22, at about 19:20, illegal Armenian armed detachments in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily stationed, attempted to install long-term fortification facilities in front of the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Khojaly region.

On August 22, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, had a telephone conversation on the initiative of the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Lieutenant General Mohammad Hossein Bagheri.

During the provocation committed by the Armenians Nazarov Ramiz Ismat, a serviceman of the Azerbaijan Army, was slightly wounded by a ricocheted bullet from the opposing side.

Illegal Armenian armed detachments, in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily stationed, installed technical surveillance devices on supply routes and in areas close to combat positions in the Karabakh economic region in order to carry out terrorist-sabotage activities against the Azerbaijan Army Units.
