Within the scope of the working visit to the Czech Republic, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has met with the leadership of Czechoslovak Group company, a large industrial holding in this country.

Festive events on the occasion of the 27th anniversary of the declaration of state independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan were organized in the Combined-Arms Army, Air Force, Naval Forces, Army Corps, formations, military units and special military-educational institutions with participation of the local executive authorities and representatives of public structures.

During the visit to the Czech Republic, the delegation led by the Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, participate in the "Future Forces International Exhibition 2018" held with the participation and support of the Ministries of Defense, Interior, Foreign Affairs, and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Czech Republic, NATO Headquarters, European Defense Agency and a number of other national and international organizations.

In the course of the exercises that are held according to the combat training plan for 2018, approved by the Minister of Defense, the Air Defense Units of the Azerbaijan Army have conducted combat firing using “IGLA” Man-Portable Air Defense System.

Within the scope of the working visit to the Czech Republic, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan Colonel General Zakir Hasanov takes part in the Future Forces International Exhibition 2018.

According to the combat training plan for 2018, approved by the Minister of Defense, the Air Defense Units of the Azerbaijan Army conducted tactical exercises in various firing ranges.

In accordance with the requirements of the “Instructions on the training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan” approved by the relevant order of Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the War College of the Armed Forces began the admission to the adjuncture (postgraduate military course) on October 16.

According to the plan approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, an exercise was conducted to check the combat readiness of one of the military units.

The ceasefire monitoring exercise on the Azerbaijan and Armenia state border, in the direction of Kazakh region, held in accordance with the mandate of Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office on October 16, ended with no incident.
