On July 25, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, and other leadership of the Ministry participated in the opening ceremony of the IDEF‘23 16th International Defence Industry Fair which is being held in Istanbul.

An event on the anniversary of one of the military units' establishment was held.First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence, territorial integrity, and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence.

Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Commander of the Air Force, Lieutenant General Ramiz Tahirov and a group of military personnel visited the Second Alley of Shehids with regard to the 4th anniversary of the death of Air Force MiG-29 pilot, Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev, who crashed during training exercises.

The “Khazri Wave” tactical exercises, conducted in interoperability between the Naval Forces, Land Forces, Air Force, and the Coast Guard of the State Border Service, ended.

"Khazri Wave" tactical exercises on conducting combat operations during the protection and defense of energy infrastructure in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea continue.

According to the training plan for the current year, the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense held a seminar on the organization of the troops’ service with the participation of the main assistants of the chiefs of branches (subdivisions) for operational and combat training of the Army Corps and formations of the Azerbaijan Army.

According to the training plan for the 2023 training year approved by the Azerbaijan Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, “Khazri Wave” tactical exercises are being conducted in interoperability between the Naval Forces, Land Forces, Air Force, and the Coast Guard of the State Border Service.

On July 19, the Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, Vice Admiral Subhan Bakirov met with the delegation led by the Chief of Inspection and Evaluation of the Turkish Naval Forces Command, Rear Admiral Yücel Darcan, who is on an official visit to Azerbaijan.
