On January 8, the Rector of the National Defense University, Major General Gunduz Abdulov met with a delegation of the National Defense University of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia led by Major General Nayed Atagan Al-Mutairi, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

On January 7, a memorial ceremony was conducted at the Second Alley of Honour to commemorate a military pilot of the Azerbaijan Air Force, Lieutenant Colonel Rashad Atakishiyev.

On January 6, at about 14:10, the Armenian armed forces units from positions located in the direction of Digh settlement of the Gorus region using small arms once again subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of Zabukh settlement of the Lachin region.

On January 5, from 22:00 to 22:10, the Armenian armed forces units from positions located in the directions of Digh and Khanazakh settlements of the Gorus region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the directions of Zabukh and Jaghazur settlements of the Lachin region.

In accordance with the plan approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, a series of events on the occasion of 31 December – Day of Solidarity of World Azerbaijanis and New Year were held in all types of troops, Combined Arms Army, army corps, formations and special educational institutions within the Azerbaijan Army.

On December 30, the leadership of the Defense Ministry conducted a visit to the Main Clinical Hospital.The visit commenced with a solemn ceremony during which the Ministry's leadership laid flowers at the monument to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the territory of the hospital, and paid tribute to his memory.The Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with the medical staff of the hospital and military personnel receiving treatment.

To enhance the professionalism of psychologists serving in the Azerbaijan Army, a training session on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) was conducted in the lecture hall of the Baku Military College operating under the National Defense University.

In accordance with the training plan for 2024, the next graduation ceremony of the Officer Training School was held at the Training and Educational Center of the Air Force.

Delegation led by the Chief of the International Military Cooperation Department of the Azerbaijan Ministry of Defense visited the Republic of Serbia to hold negotiations on military cooperation.
