On April 24, the Rector of the National Defense University of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Gunduz Abdulov met with the Deputy Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel of Justice Elmir Suleymanli.

Representatives of the Defense Ministries of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Czech Republic held bilateral military cooperation talks.

The visit of the delegation led by Vice Rector of the National Defense University of the Republic of Türkiye, Professor Talat Canbolat to Azerbaijan is ongoing.

In accordance with the military cooperation agreement signed between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, the Distinguished Visitors Day was held within the Heydar Aliyev-2026 joint exercise in Kars, Türkiye.

In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan signed between the Ministries of Defense of Azerbaijan and Georgia, a working meeting of military lawyers from both countries took place in Baku.

In accordance with the training plan for 2026, a shooting championship started among servicemen of the Azerbaijan Army.At the opening ceremony of the event, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, was honored with a minute of silence.

In accordance with the joint action plan for 2026 signed between the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Ombudsman's Office representatives visited one of the military units of the Air Force.In the military unit, the representatives got acquainted with military personnel’s provision and conditions created in barracks and medical unit, and also held a meeting with servicemen.

A commemoration ceremony dedicated to the 10th anniversary of 2016 April battles and to the memory of servicemen, who became Shehids during those battles, was held in one of the military units of the Special Forces.

First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev met with a delegation led by Deputy Rector of the Turkish National Defense University, Professor Talat Canbolat, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.

Under the training plan approved for the current year by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the next training session involving a group of reservists has commenced in one of the military units of the Special Forces.
