In connection with implementation of the relevant Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the process of admission of new soldiers in the training military units of the Azerbaijan Army continues.

Computer-assisted command-staff exercise will be held between Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan this year in accordance with the Bilateral Cooperation Plan for 2024 between Defense Ministries of the two countries.

On April 9, at about 10:40, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions located in the direction of Istisu settlement using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of Istisu settlement of Kalbajar region.

In accordance with the combat training plan for 2024 approved by the Minister of Defense, training flights were conducted with the Air Force’s helicopter units.

On April 8, starting from 23:35 to 23:45, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions located in the directions of Khoznavar, Khanazakh, Aravus settlements of the Gorus region using small arms of various calibers periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the directions of Sadinlar, Husulu, Malibayli and Jaghazur settlements of the Lachin region.

According to the training plan for 2024 approved by the Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, War Games Center hosted a computer-assisted command-staff exercise of one of the military units.

On April 7, at about 17:15, Armenian armed forces units from the positions located in the direction of Sultanbay settlement of Pashali region using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of Shada settlement of Shahbuz region of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

Freestyle wrestling championship among servicemen was held in the Combined Arms Army.

On April 6, starting from 18:30 to 22:05, Armenian armed forces units from the positions located in the directions of Jil, Gunashli, and Khoznavar settlements of Chambarak, Basarkechar and Gorus regions using small arms of various calibers a total of 16 times periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the directions of Ayrivang, Jamilli, and Hajilar settlements of Gadabay, Kalbajar, and Lachin regions.

The heads of the State Agency for Preschool and General Education under the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Baku City Education Department, as well as a group of subordinate schools’ principals, visited the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski of the National Defense University.
