In accordance with the training plan for 2025, a graduation ceremony was held at the Azerbaijan Air Force’s Unmanned Aerial Vehicles Academy for specialists in the "Orbiter 3HC" UAV systems.

The "Araz-2025" joint exercise, held with the participation of Azerbaijani and Iranian servicemen servsuccessfully concluded.

The delegation led by the President of the Centre for Higher Defense Studies of Italian National Defense University, Lieutenant General Stefano Mannino visited the National Defense University (NDU), the War Games Center, the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev, the Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski, and one of the military units of the Naval Forces.

The next tasks were fulfilled during the "Anatolian Phoenix - 2025" International Search and Rescue Exercise held in Konya, Türkiye.First, in accordance with the exercise plan, a briefing was given to the participants regarding safety rules, clarification of the assigned tasks on the map and their fulfillment sequence, as well as the terrain and climate of the area where the search and rescue activities to be carried out.According to the plan, activities on parachute training and search-and-rescue operations were successfully carried out.The main objectives in fulfilling the tasks assigned during the exercise are to improve the personnel’s parachute skills, further enhance combat and special training levels, and to ensure interoperability and exchange of experience among servicemen of the participating countries.It should be noted that Azerbaijan Air Force’s pilots, along with representatives of the paratrooper and search-and-rescue services, technical staff and aircraft represent Azerbaijan in the international search and rescue exercise.

On May 21, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received the delegation led by the Commander of the 1st Army of the Land Forces of the Republic of Türkiye, Army General Metin Tokel.

"Araz-2025" joint exercise held with the participation of personnel from the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Azerbaijani territories liberated from occupation is ongoing.

In accordance with the bilateral military cooperation plan signed between the Ministries of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Serbia for 2025, drill on the conduct of combat operations were held for servicemen of the Serbian Armed Forces.

On May 20, the First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev received the President of the Centre for Higher Defense Studies of Italian National Defense University, Lieutenant General Stefano Mannino.

The opening ceremony of the "Araz-2025" joint exercise took place in Azerbaijan.First, the Azerbaijani and Iranian exercise leaders, as well as other high-ranking representatives, visited the monument erected in memory of our Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland, and laid flowers.The memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of both countries, was honored with a minute of silence.
