Under the instruction of the Minister of Defense, on May 8 a community cleanup day was organized with the participation of the Azerbaijan Army’s military personnel on the occasion of the 76th anniversary of the Victory over fascism.

A Military Oath taking ceremony of young soldiers was held in Nakhchivan garrison troops.

We present the photos, names, surnames, information about military ranks, and date of birth of 2895 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who died as Shehids (martyrs) in the Patriotic War and were buried by May 8, as well as 19 servicemen considered as missing.

A remembrance ceremony of the brave tanker Albert Agarunov who died as Shehid during the battles for Shusha on May 8, 1992, was held.

On the occasion of the birthday of the National Hero of Azerbaijan Ilgar Mirzoyev, who heroically died as Shehid (Martyr) while preventing an enemy attack during the battles in July 2020 in the direction of the Tovuz region on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border, a group of servicemen of the Ministry of Defense visited the hero's grave and laid flowers at it.
