Within the framework of the "Week of Diplomacy" co-organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the ADA University, diplomacy volunteers operating under the MFA visited some institutions of the Ministry of Defense.

On July 14, the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan Cahit Bagci.

We present the photos, names, surnames, information about military ranks, and date of birth of 2907 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, who became Shehids (martyrs) in the Patriotic War and were buried by July 14, as well as 7 servicemen considered as missing.

On July 14, at about 10:00, the Armenian armed forces units using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the positions of the Azerbaijan Army located in the direction of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border.

On July 13, at 21:34 and 21:45, illegal Armenian armed detachments that are in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed, using machine guns and assault rifles subjected to fire the positions of the Azerbaijan Army located in the vicinity of the Shusha city.

On the occasion of the Tovuz battles’ anniversary, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense visited the Second Alley of Shehids on July 12.

According to the Action Plan for 2021, the Ministry of Defense jointly with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) held seminars on international humanitarian law for servicemen.

In accordance with the plan for 2021 approved by the Minister of Defense, methodological training sessions were conducted with the staff of the Personnel Bodies of the Army Corps, formations, military units, and special military-educational institutions.
