As part of NATO’s Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP), a group of military education experts visited Azerbaijan and held meetings at the National Defense University (NDU) and its subordinate special educational institutions.

According to the combat training plan approved by the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, the contest for the title of "Best Military Band" was held among the military orchestras of the types of troops, army corps, formations, military units and special military educational institutions.

New draft regulations on discipline, garrison, guard services and internal service of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, prepared by a working group consisting of officials from relevant authorities of the Armed Forces, were presented on May 30.

The information spread by the Armenian defense ministry that, on May 30, between 00:10 and 01:00, the Azerbaijan Army Units allegedly opened fire in the direction of the Khaznavar settlement, resulting in damage to a residential building and the death of a small ruminant, is completely false.

In accordance with the annual action plan approved by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, a visit of military attachés accredited in Azerbaijan to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was organized.

On May 29, at around 10:10, while engineer-sapper units of the Azerbaijan Army were conducting mine and unexploded ordnance clearance in the direction of Istisu settlement of Kalbajar region, Azerbaijani serviceman Sadigov Khudaverdi Hasan was wounded by an anti-personnel mine planted by Armenians.

According to the training plan for 2025, a live-fire tactical exercise was held with the “Smerch” multiple launch rocket system unit of the Rocket and Artillery Troops of the Azerbaijan Army.

The course held in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan with the participation of a group of qualified specialists from the Azerbaijan Air Force successfully ended.

On May 28, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov met with the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Türkiye, Yaşar Güler, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.During the meeting, the sides expressed confidence that the Azerbaijani-Turkish cooperation based on mutual trust and support will continue to develop successfully in the future.It was noted that the strategic alliance between the two countries is built on friendly and brotherly relations.At the meeting, the prospects for the development of cooperation in military, military-technical, military-educational and other fields were discussed, and the importance of further expanding efforts in these spheres was emphasized.
