In accordance with the training plan approved by the Azerbaijan Defense Minister, unmanned aerial vehicle units (UAV) of the Azerbaijan Air Force carried out training flights.

A meeting on the results of 2023 was held with the foreign countries’ military attachés accredited to Azerbaijan.

According to the approved action plan for 2023, Self-Evaluation Level-2 (SEL-2) exercise of a pair of Mi-17-1V helicopters of the Azerbaijan Air Force was conducted in one of the military units of the Air Force as part of NATO's Operational Capabilities Concept (OCC) program.

The area of 134 hectares was completely cleared of landmines and unexploded ordnance as a result of the activities of Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units in the liberated territories on December 1-12 of the current year.

Commando units conducted tactical-special exercises in accordance with the training plan for 2023.

The First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev held a meeting with the delegation led by the Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Chief of the Operational Planning Department, Major General Marat Aymashev, who is on a working visit to Azerbaijan.

Events aimed at the military-patriotic upbringing of the youth and instilling in them a sense of devotion to statehood continue in accordance with the action plan for the current year.

With regard to the commemoration day of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, on December 12 a series of events were held in Army Corps, formations, military units, Combined Arms Army, and special educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army, according to the order of the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.

On December 12, Defense Ministry’s leadership visited the Alley of Honor with regard to the commemoration day of the architect and founder of the modern state of Azerbaijan, the National Leader Heydar Aliyev.
