A regular meeting of the Committee of Chiefs of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) member states will be held in Baku on October 12.

On October 10, at 23:00, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of the Garaiman settlement of the Basarkechar region using small arms periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions, stationed in the direction of the Astaf settlement of the Dashkasan region.

On October 10, starting from 09:55 to 16:30, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the directions of the Garaiman and Gunashli settlements of the Basarkechar region, and the Chinarli settlement of the Tovuzgala region using various caliber weapons periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions, stationed in the directions of the Tazakend settlement of the Dashkasan region and the Aghbulag settlement of the Tovuz region.

Within the framework of the Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) for 2022 between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO, a training course on the topic "The use of helicopters in operations" is being held with the participation of the Azerbaijan Air Force servicemen and representatives of the Mobile Training Team of Allied Air Command (AIRCOM) at Ramstein.

The Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units continue activities on demining the liberated territories and supply roads.

On the evening of October 9, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the directions of the Yukhari Zaghali, Istisu, Yukhari Shorzha, and Jil settlements of the Basarkechar region using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions, stationed in the directions of Alibayramli, Istisu and Zaylik settlements of the Kalbajar region and Novoivanovka settlement of the Gadabay region.

Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of the Yukhari Shorzha settlement of the Basarkechar region and the Khanazakh settlement of the Gorus region using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions, stationed in the direction of the Yellija settlement of the Kalbajar region on the evening of October 8 and the Malibey settlement of the Lachin region on the morning of October 9.

On October 8, the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev visited the Special Forces military unit.

The Commander of the Azerbaijan Naval Forces, Rear Admiral Subhan Bakirov participating in the 13th Trans-Regional Seapower Symposium in Venice, Italy, met with the Chief of the Italian Navy, Admiral Enrico Credendino.

As a result of demining activities carried out by the Azerbaijan Army’s engineer-sapper units, the next mines buried by the opposing side in the territory of the Kalbajar and Dashkasan regions were detected.
