The personnel of the Special Forces successfully carried out all combat tasks assigned in the contact line and enemy rear areas in 2012–2016, destroying large numbers of enemy manpower and equipment, demonstrating heroism, undermining the enemy’s fighting spirit, and causing serious psychological tension and panic.
During the April battles of 2016, members of the Special Forces fulfilled important tasks in the operations conducted in response to the enemy’s provocations, destroying a large number of enemy personnel and forcing them to retreat. The Special Forces actively participated in the Patriotic War, which began on 27 September 2020 and lasted for 44 days, as well as in the “Revenge” and “Resolute Response” operations conducted in 2022, successfully fulfilling the assigned tasks and achieving a number of decisive victories.

Through the valor shown in the Patriotic War and subsequent operations, members of the Special Forces once again proved that the fighting spirit of the Azerbaijani people has never faded over the centuries and that, even in the most difficult periods of history, they have never abandoned the struggle for freedom. The professionalism and heroism shown by the Special Forces in the liberation of Shusha city, which considered impossible to seize, became an unparalleled example. Their ability to enter the city within several days and liberate it from the enemy was inscribed in the history of warfare in golden letters.
The tasks assigned to the Special Forces have always been difficult and risky. They proved their professionalism by successfully carrying out high-level missions in mountainous, forested terrain with harsh climatic conditions, enemy rear areas and in a covert manner.
A number of members of the Special Forces have were awarded the titles of National Hero and Patriotic War Hero, as well as numerous orders and medals.
Today, the Special Forces remain a capable force ready to fulfill any combat task and to serve the Motherland and the Commander-in-Chief with loyalty and devotion.
