Pursuant to the plan approved by the Minister of Defense, a series of events were held to mark the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide across the troops (forces), Combined Arms Army, army corps, formations, military units of the Azerbaijan Army, as well as in the special educational institutions operating under the National Defense University and at the offices of military attaché representations accredited in foreign countries.

On February 26, the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and other senior staff of the Ministry visited the Mother’s Cry Memorial on the occasion of the 34th anniversary of the Khojaly genocide.

The delegation led by the Chief of Armaments - Deputy Commander-in-Chief for Armaments of the Aerospace Forces of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, Colonel General Yurii Grekhov, is paying a visit to Azerbaijan.

Within the 2026 Individual Partnership Cooperation Programme (IPCP) between the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan and NATO, an Advisory meeting is being conducted in Baku.

Pursuant to the training plan approved by the Minister of Defense, a training- methodical session was held at the Heydar Aliyev Military Institute with physical training and sports specialists representing the troops (forces), army corps, formations of the Azerbaijan Army and special military educational institutions.

Jamshid Nakhchivanski Military Lyceum of the National Defense University hosts a joint exercise conducted by the Fire Protection Inspection of the Ministry of Defense and the State Fire Control Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
