The National Defense University hosts Training on Improvement of Pedagogical Instructors which is being held as part of NATO's Defence Education Enhancement Programme (DEEP).

Azerbaijan Army continues conducting competitions and classes with regard to start of the new training period.According to the plan, units were withdrawn from the points of permanent deployment to training centers and training range.The main purpose of holding competitions is to increase the knowledge and skills of military personnel, to maintain a high level of combat readiness.

On September 5, at 01:35, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of the Istisu settlement using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Istisu settlement of the Kalbajar region.

According to the training plan for 2023, competitions are being held at the battalion, company, division and battery level as part of the combat training week in the Azerbaijan Army.The main purpose of the competitions is to maintain the combat readiness of the units at a high level, to improve the practical skills of the military personnel and to increase the healthy competitive determination of the servicemen.

On September 4, at 11:20, the positions of the Azerbaijan Army Units stationed in the direction of Havush settlement of the Sharur region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic were subjected to fire from small arms by the Armenian armed forces units stationed in the opposite direction.

On September 4, at 09:50 the Armenian armed forces units from the positions of the Arazdeyen settlement of the Davali region using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of Heydarabad settlement of the Sadarak region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

On September 4, at 07:20, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of the Yukhari Shorzha settlement of the Basarkechar region using various caliber weapons subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Yellija settlement of the Kalbajar region.The Azerbaijan Army Units took retaliatory measures in the mentioned direction.

On September 3, at about 18:10, illegal Armenian armed detachments in the territory of Azerbaijan, where Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily stationed, attempted to install long-term fortification facilities in front of the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the direction of the Khojaly region.

Starting from 21:15 on September 2 to 01:45 on September 3, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the directions of the Gunashli settlement of the Basarkechar region, and Martiros settlement of the Pashali region using various caliber weapons periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the directions of the Astaf settlement of the Dashkasan region, and Shada settlement of the Shahbuz region of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

In the afternoon of September 2, the Azerbaijan Army Units stationed in the direction of the Kalbajar region detected an attack UAV which belongs to the Armenian armed forces.As a result of the vigilance of the Azerbaijan Army Units, timely detected UAV was neutralized and captured before reaching the target by special means.
