According to the annual plan approved by the Minister of Defense, several events and concert programs were held in the Azerbaijan Army on the occasion of 9 November – National Flag Day.

On the occasion of the second anniversary of the victory in the Patriotic War, an expedition to the “Zafar zirvesi” ("The Peak of the Victory") was organized with the participation of cadets of the National Defense University’s Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev and media representatives.

Starting from 18:40 on November 8 to 02:20 on November 9, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the directions of Yukhari Shorzha, Azizli, Yukhari Zaghali settlements of the Basarkechar region and Chinarli settlement of the Tovuzgala region using various caliber weapons periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions stationed in the directions of Mollabayramli, Yellija, Zaylik, Zaghali settlements of the Kalbajar region and Aghdam settlement of the Tovuz region.

According to the plan approved by the Minister of Defense, several events, aimed at propaganda of patriotic examples, further improving the moral-psychological state and increasing the combat spirit of military personnel, were held on the occasion of Victory Day in the Army Corps, formations, military units, and special educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense.

According to the training plan for 2022 approved by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, military oath-taking ceremonies for young soldiers were held in the Azerbaijan Army on November 8.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva and their son Heydar Aliyev have attended an event organized on the occasion of the Victory Day in Shusha.

On the occasion of November 8-Victory Day, servicemen accompanied by military orchestras marched along certain routes through various streets and avenues of the capital.

On November 8, the Defense Ministry’s leadership visited the Second Alley of Shehids on the occasion of Victory Day.

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev has viewed conditions created at a newly commissioned military unit of the Ministry of Defense in the territory of Fuzuli district.

On the eve of the second anniversary of the Patriotic War, the Ministry of Defense organized media tours to the liberated territories for mass media representatives.
