On May 17 in the evening, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the Zarkand and Ashaghi Shorzha settlements of the Basarkechar region of the state border using various caliber weapons periodically subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of the Yellija and Barmagbina settlements of the Kalbajar region.

In accordance with the training plan for 2022, exemplary classes on socio-political training were held in the Military Police Department of the Ministry of Defense.

A briefing on the preparation for the "Anatolian Phoenix-2022" Flight-Tactical Exercises held in Konya, Türkiye, and the tasks to be fulfilled in stages was presented to representatives of various countries who will take part in the exercises.

In accordance with the combat training plan for 2022 approved by the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) carried out training flights.

In accordance with the combat training plan for the current year, practical shooting exercises from small arms and grenade launchers were held in one of the military units of the Land Forces.

The Azerbaijan Air Force servicemen have left for Konya, Türkiye, to participate in the "Anatolian Phoenix-2022" International Search and Rescue Exercises.

On May 14, at 11:30, the Armenian armed forces units from the positions in the direction of Yukhari Shorzha settlement of the Basarkechar region of the state border using small arms subjected to fire the Azerbaijan Army positions in the direction of Zaylik settlement of the Kalbajar region.

In accordance with the Joint Action Plan for 2022 signed by the Ministry of Defense and the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the representatives of the Office visited one of the military units.

Under the instruction of the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, psychologists of the Department for Ideological Work and Moral-Psychological Support of the Main Department for Personnel conducted methodological classes in military units.

In accordance with the approved plan, the servicemen of the Department for Ideological Work and Moral-Psychological Support of the Main Department for Personnel and the Legal Department held educational events on International Humanitarian Law (Law of Armed Conflict) in the military units.
