A live-fire stage was conducted in the course of large-scale exercises, held in accordance with the plan approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Ilham Aliyev.

During the exercise, Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov has heard the reports of commanders of branch of arms, commanders of formations and relevant officers in charge, on the dynamically changing situation and previously made decisions.

During the next stage of the exercises, the troops fulfilled the tasks on movement from the areas of location to the line of deployment.

The previously made decisions were refined on the terrain model board and on the terrain itself where the interoperability of troops was organized during the next stage of the exercises.

During the exercises, the troops arrived in concentration area and their groupings were completed.

In accordance with the large-scale exercises' plan, the troops and command control posts, have previously been put on alert are moved to the operational areas.

In accordance with the plan approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, large-scale exercises are started on April 16, in order to inspect combat readiness, organisation of command and control of troops and means, including their interoperability in a combat simulated environment.

"AMAN-17" international naval exercise is held in Karachi (Islamic Republic of Pakistan) from 10 to 14 February.

On 7 February 2017, the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, in accordance with its mandate, plans to conduct the next ceasefire monitoring exercise on the LOC, in Fuzuli region.

On 24 January 2017, the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, in accordance with its mandate, plans to conduct the next ceasefire monitoring exercise on the LOC, near to the village Kapanly (Terter region).
