An extended meeting of the Board of the Ministry of Defence devoted to combat and moral-psychological training, as well as the results of large-scale exercises, was held in the frontline zone, with the participation of the leadership of the ministry, the commanders of the formations, their deputies, the heads of military institutes, as well as other officers in charge.

A live-fire stage was conducted in the course of large-scale exercises, held in accordance with the plan approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

The leadership of the Ministry of Defense has checked the level of readiness of the mobilization resources of the large units and forces foreseen for rapid deployment and use during military operations.

According to the large-scale exercise plan, after the stage of reconnaissance of the terrain, the exercises participants carried out the organization of interaction of troops on the terrain board.

The flights of combat aircraft of the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey are continued in the course of the joint flight-tactical exercises "TurAz Qartalı - 2017".

Having visited the military unit in the exercise area, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense paid tribute to national leader Heydar Aliyev and laid flowers to his bust, installed in the territory of the military unit.

The Minister of Defense of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, the leadership of the Ministry, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral and the Military Attaché of Turkey to Azerbaijan, Brigadier General Zafer Ocak took part in the opening ceremony of the "TurAz Qartalı-2017" exercises.

Large-scale military exercises with participation of various military branches of Armed Forces started on September 18 in accordance with the plan approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev.

Joint flight and tactical exercises of the Air Forces of Azerbaijan and Turkey began on September 18.

F-16 Fighter aircrafts of Turkish Air Force arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in joint exercises "TurAz Qartalı-2017".

In accordance with the plan approved by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev, large-scale exercises with participation of various military branches of Armed Forces will start on September 18.

Another group of Turkish military aviation arrived in Azerbaijan to take part in joint exercises "TurAz Qartalı-2017".

A large group of flight and engineering-technical staff of the Turkish Air Force has arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the "TurAz Qartalı-2017" joint exercises.
 MiG-29, F-16, Su-25, C-130 Herkules and CASA CN-235 aircrafts, as well as Mi-35, Mi-17 and Sikorsky S-70 helicopters.

In accordance with the annual military cooperation plan between Azerbaijan and Turkey, "TurAz Qartalı-2017" joint flight-tactical exercises will be conducted with the participation of the Air Forces of the two countries.

On 12 September 2017, the Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office in accordance with its mandate plans to conduct the next ceasefire monitoring exercise on the LOC, near the village Alkhanly (Fuzuli region).
