November 8 - Victory Day was solemnly celebrated in the Combined Arms Army, and servicemen who distinguished themselves in service and fulfillment of combat tasks were awarded.
First, the memory of our Shehids (Martyrs) was honored and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed at the events.
Congratulations on Victory Day were conveyed to the military personnel, then the Victory in the 44-day war was discussed. It was noted that as a result of the successful continuation of national leader Heydar Aliyev’s army development policy by the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, we won the April battles in 2016 and gained the Gunnut operation victory in 2018. The 44-day Patriotic War in 2020 also ended with the glorious victory of the Azerbaijan Army. The Combined Arms Army, which is formed over many years due to activities taken in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic by the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly to create new military units and modernize the infrastructure in military units, has made a significant contribution to the glorious victory. Speakers also emphasized the care provided to war veterans, ghazis, and families of Shehids.
After the speeches, the servicemen of the Combined Arms Army were awarded various orders and medals, early and next military ranks, honorary diplomas, money rewards, and valuable gifts.
The festive events continued with a concert program organized in the formations, military units, and subunits, as well as in the Training and Educational Centers of the Combined Arms Army. At the events, soloists of cultural collectives performed festive songs.
