Training-methodological sessions are being held with officers and psychologists for ideological work and moral-psychological support

According to the training plan for the current year, the Training and Educational Center of the Azerbaijan Army hosts training-methodological sessions with the chiefs of branches and subdivisions for ideological work and moral-psychological support of types of troops, Army Corps, formations, units, and special educational institutions (chairs and cycles, respectively), assistant chiefs of staff of military units for ideological work and moral-psychological support and psychologists.
First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and the Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute moment of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Delivering a speech on the occasion of the beginning of the training-methodological sessions, Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Personnel – Chief of the Department for Personnel, Major General Elchin Khalilov, conveyed the greetings of the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov to the sessions’ participants and provided detailed information on the work done in 2022 in the field of ideological work and moral-psychological support, as well as the tasks set in this sphere. It was noted that during the training period of this year, the tasks arising from the speeches of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, were delivered to the entire military personnel.
Major General E. Khalilov spoke about the Patriotic War, the “Farrukh” operation, the “Revenge” operation, and the operation against large-scale provocations of the Armenian armed formations in September 2022, which ended with the victories of the brave Azerbaijan Army under the command of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, and stressed that military-patriotic education, a high level of moral-psychological training and military discipline of the personnel played a significant role in gaining these victories.
It was noticed that effective and purposeful reforms aimed at bringing the Azerbaijan Army into an even higher state of combat readiness are carried out after the Patriotic War. As a result of successful reforms, activities aimed at increasing the professional level of the Azerbaijan Army, strengthening the material and technical base, improving the social and living conditions of servicemen, and providing units with modern machinery and equipment, produce practical results. The service, and social and living conditions of the servicemen standing guard over our lands in the territories liberated from occupation have been significantly improved.
The Deputy Chief of the Main Department emphasized that in order to ensure the moral-psychological training of military personnel and the effective organization of leisure time, more than 370 events with the participation of representatives of local executive authorities and public structures, state and non-governmental organizations, veterans, the public and the media representatives, as well as servicemen were held on public holidays and significant dates. In order to honor the memory of Shehids, more than 450 commemorative events were organized with the participation of Shehids’ relatives and public representatives.
In relation to the declaration of 2023 as a “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan, the Chief of the Department brought to the attention of the participants the organization of an in-depth study of the Great Leader’s legacy and planned events at a high-level, as well as other key assigned tasks.
Major General E. Khalilov stressed the importance of conducting individual educational work and proper relationship building between servicemen according to the requirements of the decisions and orders of the Minister of Defense, including instructions on safety rules and increased vigilance.
Then the representatives of the Milli Majlis and other state structures, as well as officers of the Ministry of Defense’s various departments and military units expressed their opinions and ideas on the work done to improve the moral-psychological level of military personnel, and other topics affecting the Azerbaijan Army’s combat capability.
At the end of the training-methodological sessions, the servicemen who took places in the contest for the title of Best Psychologist of the Year held in the Azerbaijan Army in early December of this year were awarded by the relevant order of the First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army.
