According to the plan of combat training for 2019, approved by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov, training-methodical sessions were held in the Training and Educational Center of the Armed Forces for deputy commanders of Army Corps, formations, branches of troops, units, as well as deputy chiefs of special military-educational institutions on ideological work and moral-psychological support and psychologists.
At first, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and the shehids (martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of the country was honored with observing a minute moment of silence, the National Anthem was performed.
Deputy Minister of Defense Lieutenant General Kerim Veliyev spoke about the increase in the level of combat readiness and combat capability of the Azerbaijan Army, the growth of the patriotic spirit of the military personnel, the positive impact of the country's dynamic socio-economic development on the work carried out in the field of army development, and large-scale reforms that contribute to an increase in combat and moral-psychological training of servicemen, and brought to the participants of the event instructions of the Minister of Defense in regard to the forthcoming work to be carried out in the intended areas in 2020.
Chief of the Department for Ideological Work and Moral-Psychological Support – Deputy Chief of the Main Department for Personnel of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Rasim Aliyev delivered a report on military-patriotic education based on the ideology of Azerbaijan, moral-psychological training, improving military discipline and other spheres.
Reports of deputy commanders of Army Corps, formations, branches of troops, units, as well as deputy chiefs of specialized military-educational institutions on ideological work and moral-psychological support to improve educational work, increase the level of moral-psychological training of military personnel, education servicemen in the spirit of national-moral values, the growth of the authority of military service among young people, the deep awareness of each young fighter of sacred duty and psychological support in the Azerbaijan Army were heard at the event.
During the event, the presentations on the topic "Joint activities with the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations in the fight against religious radicalism in the Azerbaijan Army" made by Mehman Ismayilov, an employee of the State Committee for Work with Religious Associations, executive director of the Spiritual Values Promotion Foundation, on the topic "Organization of legal, preventive and educational measures to prevent catastrophes" made by the police Lieutenant Colonel Mubariz Agayev, an employee of the Ministry of the Interior, on the topic "Information War" made by Vugar Zifaroglu, the Head of the Department of Journalism of BSU, on the topic "Activities to increase the authority of the Azerbaijan Army, organized jointly with veteran organizations" made by Mehdi Mehdiyev, Chairman of the "Karabakh war disabled, veterans and families of martyrs" were heard.
The winners of the contest for the title of the “Best Psychologist of the Year”, First Lieutenant Reyhan Maniyeva and First Lieutenant Agil Namazov exchanged experiences with the participants of the event and spoke about new methods of the psychological approach to military personnel.
During the training sessions, an exchange of views on many official topics was held, the issues of organizing and conducting elections to municipalities, as well as parliamentary elections were touched upon, relevant instructions on priority areas of ideological work and the organization of moral-psychological support in the Azerbaijan Army in 2020 were given.
Then, servicemen who distinguished themselves in the performance of official duties in 2019 were awarded.
At the end of the training sessions, the creative teams of the Baku Municipal Theater and the Army Ideological and Cultural Center named after Hazi Aslanov showed the stage play “Chingiz Dastani” dedicated to the memory of the National Hero of Azerbaijan, a soldier Chingiz Gurbanov. The author and director-producer of the stage play is an Honored Art Worker, Colonel Abdulla Gurbani.
