Events held on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from Afghanistan are continuing. Another event was held in the “N” military unit. The event was attended by Lieutenant General Rovshan Akberov, veterans, foreign guests and the command staff of the military unit.

First, the participants laid flowers on the bust of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, installed on the territory of the military unit. Then they got acquainted with the administrative buildings of the military unit. It was reported that the military unit was re-built and commissioned. The guests got acquainted with the new headquarters building, the soldiers' barracks, the medical post, the bath-and-laundry complex, and other facilities built on the territory of the military unit. In the headquarters building, guests were shown a photo corner reflecting the contributions made by Great Leader Heydar Aliyev and President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev to the process of army construction, their attention, and care, as well as meetings with soldiers and officers. The guests were briefed on the activities of the military unit. It was stressed that the strength and power of the Azerbaijan Army are growing day after day, and it is noted that the meeting with veterans plays a positive role in educating military personnel in the spirit of heroism. Hero of the Soviet Union, retired Colonel General Valery Aleksandrovich Vostrotin left a note with best wishes in the book of the memory of the military unit.
At the end of the event in the soldiers' canteen, the guests tested dishes of the national cuisine of Azerbaijan.
