The opening ceremony of the 7th Military World Games organized by the International Military Sports Council (CISM) was held in Wuhan, China.
9,300 servicemen from 109 member countries of CISM will compete for awards in 27 sports during the competitions that also involve Azerbaijani military athletes. The World Games to be held this year will be the largest of the games held to this day due to the number of participants and the sports.
The official opening ceremony of the Military World Games to be held in 35 sports complexes during 10 days was attended by official guests, high-ranking officers, as well as world-famous athletes.
It should be pointed out that CSKA teams in Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling, as well as judo, boxing, and shooting, will represent our country at competitions. Our teams participating in the championship mainly consist of world and European champions, as well as winners of the Olympic Games and republican championships. Our teams also include referees of the international level.
