On September 14, the next briefing on the current situation was held for military attachés of foreign countries accredited to Azerbaijan. The International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense hosted the briefing.
Chief of the Department, Major General Huseyn Mahmudov, informed the foreign countries’ military representatives about the current state of the large-scale provocation committed by the Armenian armed forces in the Dashkasan, Kalbajar, Lachin and Zangilan directions.
It was noted that the opposing side using various caliber weapons and artillery pieces subjected to fire the positions of the Azerbaijan Army Units and civil infrastructure. The large-scale provocation was resolutely suppressed as a result of the necessary retaliatory measures taken by the Azerbaijan Army Units.
During the briefing, Major General H. Mahmudov emphasized that the Azerbaijani side complies with the obligations of the trilateral statement signed by the leaders of Azerbaijan, Russia, and Armenia on November 10, 2020, and noticed that the Armenian military-political leadership bears the entire responsibility for the tension, confrontation, and losses caused by the large-scale provocation.
