The Command-Staff Exercises, which started on May 17 in the relevant formations and units of the Nakhchivan garrison troops, continue in accordance with the combat mission of the units to improve the field skills of the military personnel.
According to the plan, at the next stage of the Command-Staff Exercises, a landing of tactical paratroopers was carried out on mountainous and difficult terrain. Reconnaissance-sabotage groups of the Special Forces Units, which were landed to the depths of enemy defense by helicopters, carried out combat operations passing through difficult terrain and mountain passes.
During the Exercises, the combat coordination of the units was carried out in the situation as close as possible to the combat conditions. In order to improve the interoperability, the tactical battalion groups carried out tactical activities to destroy the units stationed on the foremost line and in the closest depth of the imaginary enemy defense.
