In accordance with the combat coordination plan of the Nakhchivan garrison troops for 2021, Command-Staff Exercises were conducted with the formations.
In the first stage of the exercise, formations and units have been put on alert and withdrawn to the exercise areas to bring into the state of combat readiness of various levels. The planning of defense and offensive operations by the headquarters in the areas was carried out in accordance with military decision making process.  
The units of the battalion's tactical group involved in practical actions, repelling the attack of the imaginary enemy, inflicted fire strikes on his manpower and armored vehicles, thereby creating favorable conditions for own attacking units.
The verity of the made decisions, as well as the actions of the unit commanders, were evaluated on computers at the Nakhchivan Garrison Simulation Center in the course of the last stage of the exercise. The unit commanders using computers improved their abilities to approach to contact with the enemy using the terrain features, to provide fire support for maneuvering units, and to make decision swiftly in the current tactical conditions.
At the end of the exercise, the actions of the units were analyzed and shortcomings were recorded. During the exercise, all the goals were achieved.
