On the instructions of the Minister of Defense, events on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the tragedy of January 20 were organized in Army Corps, formations, military units, and special military-educational institutions.
The historical significance of this date was emphasized, as well as detailed information on the successes of the policy on bringing the truth about these events to the world community that was pursued by the national leader Heydar Aliyev and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Mr. Ilham Aliyev was given at the events.
During the commemoration ceremonies, the memory of martyrs was honored with observing a minute of silence, Alleys of Martyrs were visited in various regions, exhibitions were viewed, literary-artistic compositions were presented, and feature and documentary films were demonstrated.
