The graduation ceremony of the Officer Training Course was held at the Training and Educational Center of the Azerbaijan Army under the National Defense University of the Defense Ministry.
The ceremony opened with commemorating the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
First Deputy Minister of Defense – Chief of the General Staff of the Azerbaijan Army, Colonel General Karim Valiyev greeted the graduates and congratulated them on behalf of the Azerbaijan Defense Minister and himself.
Colonel General K.Valiyev wished the new officers success in their future service activities and recommended them to serve in accordance with the requirements of the charter, to be fair, to serve the Motherland faithfully, to work responsibly in the combat and moral-psychological training of the personnel under their subordinates, and increase the sense of patriotism.
The Chief of the General Staff presented certificates to the advanced three graduates who completed the Officer Training Course with high marks.
Then, the Rector of the National Defense University, Colonel Gunduz Abdulov made a speech and congratulated the new officers and wished them success in the future service.
Lieutenant Ibrahim Aliyev, speaking on behalf of the new officers, promised to apply successfully the knowledge and practical skills they have gained during the course.
Then, certificates were presented to the graduates who successfully completed the Officer Training Course and the course leader attached the graduation emblem to the symbolic stump.
