The events held under the instructions of the Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov to promote the national and moral values and educate Azerbaijan Army’s military personnel are being continued.
In accordance with the joint action plan signed for the current year, officers of the Department for Ideological Work and Moral-Psychological Support of the Main Department for Personnel, as well as representatives of the State Committee on Religious Associations, met with servicemen in military units.
First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence.
During the meetings, discussions were held on topics such as the role of Islam in the upbringing of youth, the importance of religious solidarity in strengthening national unity, relationships among servicemen, rules of discipline, the role of spiritual values in creating a healthy atmosphere, as well as educating military personnel in the spirit of tolerance and other topics. The importance of educational events held in the Azerbaijan Army was emphasized.
