The event “Remembrance Day” was held in the city of Gabala with the support of the Ministry of Defense and the organization of the "Book of Memory for Soldier" Project
The event began with a visit to the Alley of Shehids (Martyrs) with the participation of the families of the Shehids, ghazis, representatives of the executive authorities of the district and the public.
First, the blessed memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and heroic sons fallen Shehids (Martyrs) for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence, prayers were made for their souls. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
On the occasion of the anniversary of the Patriotic War, a meeting was held at the Gabala State Center for Vocational Education with members of the families of the Shehids of the Patriotic War and ghazi who were wounded in battles.
The events focused on the historical significance of the glorious victory of the valiant Azerbaijan Army as a result of the operation “Iron Fist” under the command of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief, the role of the brave Azerbaijani people in the victory, the courage and heroism of the war participants, and the eternal memory of the Shehids.
