With regard to the execution of the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan, an event was held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the National Leader' in one of the military units.
First, flowers were laid at the bust to the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and the monument of the Shehids (Martyrs). The memory of the National Leader and Shehids who sacrificed their lives for the Motherland was honored.    
At the event with the participation of representatives of the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan and servicemen, the memory of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the Motherland was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan accompanied by a military orchestra was performed.
At the event, the speakers talked about the honorable and meaningful life path of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, his multifaceted activities, unparalleled services in strengthening the country, improving the welfare of the people, and his contributions to world politics.
It was noted that during the Patriotic War, the Azerbaijan Army put an end to 30 years of longing by liberating Azerbaijani ancestral and eternal lands, as well as restoring historical justice as a result of the successful continuation of the Eternaly live leader’s activities in the field of army development by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev.
In the end, a video reflecting the rich, significant life and activities of National Leader Heydar Aliyev was shown.
