The championship in the "Falcon" military-sports games was held at the Training and Educational Center of the Azerbaijan Army, one of the Naval Forces’ military units, and Azerbaijan Military Academy named after Heydar Aliyev.
First, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people, Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, territorial integrity and independence of Azerbaijan, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The event was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Defense, Executive Power of the Yasamal, Garadagh, and Khatai districts, the Youth and Sports department of these districts, the State Security Service and the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, officers of the military unit, as well as the judges of "Falcon" military-sports games.
The speakers wished success to the teams participating in the championship. It was noted that the main objective of the "Falcon" military-sports games is to focus on the military-patriotic education of the younger generation, to help prepare students for military service by involving them in military-sports games.
After the official ceremony, schoolchildren solemnly marched under the accompaniment of a military orchestra.
The participating teams accomplished tasks in drill training, physical training, overcoming obstacles, civil defense training, and other stages.
According to the final results, the winners were awarded diplomas and cups, and qualified for the final stage of the "Falcon" military-sports games to be held in Baku.
