The military units, formations, and special military-educational institutions of the Azerbaijan Army held seminars and meetings within the framework of enlightenment events held in our country in the field of combating drug addiction.
At first, the memory of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence.
During the meetings, Deputy Chief of the Department for Ideological Work and Moral-Psychological Support of the Main Department for Personnel of the Ministry of Defense Colonel Aydin Ayyubov, Deputy Head of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking the Republic of Azerbaijan Tanriverdi Aydinov, Head of Sector of the Working Group of the State Commission on Combating Drug Abuse and Illicit Drug Trafficking Rafig Allahverdiyev, President of the Forum of National Non-Governmental Organizations of the Republic of Azerbaijan Rauf Zeyni, Officer of the Main Drug Control Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs the Republic of Azerbaijan Shahlar Zeynalov, Main Department of Personnel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Lachin Pashayev, Deputy Director of the Republican Narcology Center Ilham Mammadov expressed their points of views on the topic.
During the meetings, it was spoken about the events on combating drug addiction held at the state level in recent years in our country, the work done to prevent young people from becoming addicted to these harmful habits. It was also mentioned that combating drugs in the Azerbaijan Army is one of the most important issues.
