According to the Order of the Minister of Defense on holding sports competitions in the Azerbaijan Army, the kettlebell lifting championship was held in accordance with the Land Forces Training Plan for 2022.
First, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids (Martyrs), who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of our country, was honored with observing a minute of silence, and the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The competitions that involved 71 servicemen were held in 6 weight categories without strain and in a push.
Soldier Samir Muradov (60 kg), Junior Sergeant Shamo Alasgarov (65 kg), Sergeant Nurlan Salamzada (70 kg), Senior Sergeant Abdulla Abdullayev (80 kg), soldier Niyal Azimov (90 kg), and Warrant officer Sahib Nasibov (over 90 kg) took first place in the individual classification.
Among the 15 teams that participated in the championship the teams "Beylagan", "Kalbajar" and "Barda" took first, second and third places, respectively, according to the overall results.
At the end of the competition, the winners were awarded honorary diplomas, cups, and diplomas.
