An official event on the occasion of June 26 — the Armed Forces Day of the Republic of Azerbaijan was organized by the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The official ceremony, which was held for the first time in Pakistan, was attended by generals and officers of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of Pakistan, as well as military attache and representatives of the diplomatic corps of the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Pakistan.
During the event, participants were presented briefings and videos on the history of creation and development of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the consequences of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the Armenian aggression, and the Khojaly genocide, as well as the Azerbaijani-Pakistani military cooperation.
It was noted that military exercises of the Special Forces of Azerbaijan and Pakistan will be held in the near future. These exercises are important in terms of further exchanging of experience and achieving interoperability between the armies of the two fraternal countries.
