The athletics and gymnastics championship was held among servicemen in the Nakhchivan garrison. 280 athletes from 16 teams participated in the competition that was held to check the speed, agility, and endurance of servicemen, as well as to identify the strongest athletes and teams.
At the championship, organized under the slogan "Serving the Motherland, the People and the State is the Meaning of Our Life", athletes and gymnasts competed in various competitions such as pull-ups on the horizontal bar, hip pull-over and vault over the bar, push-ups on the uneven bars, long and high jumps, running on 100 and 3000 meters, and a relay race of 400 meters.
According to the general results, in the team competition, the Special Forces took 1st place, the servicemen from the motorized rifle units – the 2nd and the 3rd places.
At the end of the championship, the teams and servicemen that took the places within the top three were awarded honorary certificates, diplomas, and cups of the command staff of the Combined Arms Army.
