Sports competitions dedicated to the 99th birthday anniversary of the national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev were held at the Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev of the National Defense University.
At the ceremony, the memory of the great leader Heydar Aliyev and Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the independence of the Motherland, was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
The cadets competed in track and field athletics, wrestling, kickboxing, pentathlon, football, volleyball, and other sports.
Following the result of the competitions, the winning teams were awarded diplomas, cups, and medals.
