On September 27, small rocket ship "Uglich" began its visit to Baku under the leadership of the commander of the Caspian Flotilla, Rear Admiral Sergey Pinchuk.
First, the Russian delegation paid tribute and laid a wreath at the tomb of national leader, founder and architect of our modern sovereign state Heydar Aliyev at the Alley of Honor.
The delegation also paid tribute and laid flowers at the grave of prominent ophthalmologist scientist, academician Zarifa Alieva.
The delegation visited the Alley of Martyrs, paid tribute to the heroic sons of our country, who sacrificed their lives for independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, laid wreaths and flowers to their graves and the monument "Eternal Flame".
Then the delegation headed by Rear Admiral Sergey Pinchuk met with the Acting Commander of the Naval Forces of the Republic of Azerbaijan Captain 1st rank Hijran Rustamzadeh.
During the visit, which will last until September 30th, the Russian delegation will have a series of meetings as well as a visit to the Second Azerbaijan International Defense Exhibition "ADEX-2016".
