Republican scientific-practical conference on "Modern radiotechnical weapons" was held at the National Defense University.
The conference was attended by representatives of the Defense Ministry and the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, officers and teaching staff of the National Defense University, as well as other guests.
First, the memory of the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev and Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of the Motherland was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan was performed.
Deputy Rector of the National Defense University for Science - Rector of the Military Scientific Research Institute Major General Arif Hasanov welcomed the participants and wished them success in the republican scientific-practical conference.
Major General A.Hasanov noted that military equipment controlled by radio waves not only differs in effectiveness on the battlefield, but also brings innovations to the world military work.
It was stated that the analysis of both the Patriotic War and other successful operations after it, as well as the military conflicts taking place in the world, shows that the military technology controlled by radio technology is one of the main weapons of war.
It was emphasized that the joint research conducted in this direction will further strengthen the military potential, and create the necessary basis for comprehensive implementation of the duties defined by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, regarding the organization of reliable defense of the country, as well as the tasks set by the Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov.  
After the video material on modern radio-technical weapons was shown in the plenary session, the conference continued its work in three sections, scientific reports were heard and discussions were held.
