Illegal Armenian armed detachments in the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan, where the Russian peacekeeping forces are temporarily stationed, have intensified the use of radio-frequency interference to GPS satellite navigation systems of passenger aircraft of local and foreign airlines flying through the airspace of Azerbaijan.
In order to pose a threat to the safety of flights passing through the Azerbaijani airspace, illegal Armenian armed detachments went to another provocation.
Thus, on August 21, from 10:15 to 10:23, there were degrades in the operation of the GPS satellite navigation system of the ATR-45 passenger aircraft of Azerbaijan Airlines, which was flying on the Baku-Fuzuli route.
Despite the fact that the command of the Russian peacekeeping contingent was informed by the Azerbaijani side, no action has been taken until now.
It should be noted that radio-interference that poses a threat to the safety of civil aviation is unacceptable and contradicts the rules set by the International Civil Aviation Organization.
