With regard to the execution of the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on declaring 2023 as the “Year of Heydar Aliyev” in Azerbaijan, the activities in accordance with the plan approved by the Minister of Defense are underway.
Military Institute named after Heydar Aliyev hosted "Heydar Aliyev" kickboxing cup, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader. The cup is being organized by the Ministry of Defense and the Youth and Sports Committee.
A total of 622 athletes will fight for the first place in 3 age categories in the competition, which is held in order to spread popularity of kickboxing among teenagers and youth.
The competitions are to continue until May 1.
