According to the instructions of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, Mr. Ilham Aliyev, the leadership of the Ministry of Defense visited military units stationed in the frontline zone to participate in the Open Doors Day held on the occasion of the Novruz holiday.
Having met with the parents of soldiers, war and labour veterans, families of shehids (martyrs) and public representatives, Minister of Defense Colonel General Zakir Hasanov informed them of the reforms being carried out in the Army according to the instructions of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, works done to improve the social conditions of the military personnel, newly built military camps and other activities, as well as shared his views on issues that the guests are interested in.
The Minister of Defense conveyed congratulations of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief on the occasion of the Novruz holiday to the visitors, and wished them success.
Then, the opening of a bakery, a laundry and a "Fire Camps", intended for conducting fire training exercises, took place on the territory of the military unit with the participation of the parents of soldiers and public representatives.
The Defense Minister has inspected the military equipment recently adopted into the armament of the military units in the frontline zone, inquired about its technical and other capabilities.
Then the Minister of Defense, servicemen and visitors dined together during the festive banquet.
Parents who took part in the Open Doors Day in military units were satisfied with the conditions created for the military personnel, and expressed their gratitude to the Supreme Commander-in-Chief for his attention and care.
