A delegation led by Deputy Commandant of Pakistan Navy War College, Commodore Ehsan Ahmed Khan, and listeners of the Academy's Navy Staff Course, who are on a visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the National Defense University.
As part of the visit, the guests visited the Alley of Shehids and laid flowers at the graves of Shehids, who sacrificed their lives for the independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan, and paid tribute to their memory.
Meeting the guests at National Defense University, Deputy Rector of the National Defense University for Science - Rector of the Military Scientific Research Institute Major General Arif Hasanov expressed satisfaction with seeing them in Azerbaijan.
Major General Arif Hasanov highlighted that the friendly and fraternal relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan are widely reflected in the joint activities of the two countries’ armies. He also expressed hope that the events planned within the visit will be beneficial and interesting for the participants.
The delegation was briefed on the National Defense University's establishment history, education system, and upcoming tasks. During the meeting, an exchange of views on mutual interest issues in the military educational field was held, and the guests’ questions were answered. In accordance with the protocol, Commodore Ehsan Ahmed Khan signed the Book of Honor.
Then the delegation visited the Azerbaijan Military History Museum. Here, the guests got acquainted with the ancient military history of Azerbaijan, combat traditions and military exhibits of ancient times. It was noted that the process of army development, initiated under the leadership of National Leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev, is being successfully continued by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. The guests were presented with a stand and exhibits reflecting the Great Victory won by the Azerbaijan Army in the Second Karabakh War thanks to the successful army development in our country. The Pakistani delegation got acquainted with the photographs, military uniforms, personal belongings, medals and orders presented at the stand in honor of Shehids, and the museum staff answered the guests’ questions.
