A group of family members of martyrs took part in the commemorative event dedicated to the anniversary of the beginning of the Patriotic War in the Combined Arms Army. By the relevant Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Mr. Ilham Aliyev, various orders and medals were presented to the families of a group of Shehids.
The memory of the Shehids was honored at the ceremony of awarding orders and medals.
Speaking at the event, the Commander of the Combined Arms Army, Colonel General Kerem Mustafayev stressed that among the Shehids fallen in the battles for the integrity and defense of Azerbaijan, there were the servicemen of the Combined Arms Army. As a result of the consistent continuation of the political line defined by the National Leader Heydar Aliyev, today the attention and care to  war veterans and the families of Shehids has been identified as the main area of social policy.  The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev and the Chairman of the Supreme Assembly of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov are taking consistent measures to improve the social and living conditions of servicemen, war veterans and martyrs' families.  Awarding war veterans is a high assessment of the activities of patriotic people by our state. Rewarding war veterans is a high assessment of the merits of patriots.
Then, various orders and medals were awarded to the family members of Martyrs by the relevant Orders of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Martyrs' parents Habil Mammadov, Ilham Abdullazade, and Aytan Eyvazova thanked the state and spoke about the care provided to war veterans, ghazis, and to families of Martyrs.
