On the occasion of the beginning of the training year, the Military Oath taking ceremony was held for cadets newly admitted to Military Lyceum named after Jamshid Nakhchivanski.
The event was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Defense, lyceum staff, teachers, parents, and members of the public.
First, the memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev and the Shehids (Martyrs) who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan was honored with observing a minute of silence. The National Anthem was performed.
During the ceremony, the speakers congratulated young cadets and wished them success in their further service.
Then the cadets took an oath of allegiance to the Motherland in the parade ground.
The military personnel performed the Anthem of the lyceum accompanied by a Military Orchestra and solemnly marched in front of the podium.
The speakers advised the cadets to be loyal to the Motherland, the state, and the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, serve in an exemplary, disciplined manner, as well as timely and accurately follow the orders of the commanding staff.
